Currently, Memfys Hospital is fully accredited for the training of neurosurgeons for both the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) and the West African College of Surgeons (WACS).

The Postgraduate Residency training is a four-year programme with well planned and packaged exposure of the trainee resident to general neurosurgery, neurology and neuro radiology. Residents also have opportunity for six months overseas clinical exposure at our
affiliate hospital overseas.

After successful completion of the programme, outstanding specialists may be offered a permanent consultant position at Memfys Hospital. With focus on personal and professional development, the knowledge and experience gained during the training at the hospital would be a good step towards a life-changing medical career. The hospital has excellent record, at both WACS and NPMC Part II examinations.

  1. Candidates must have passed Part 1 FMCS and/or FWACS
  2. Must have knowledge of the role of the resident doctor
  3. Good basic knowledge of Neuroanatomy
  4. Must pay exceptional attention to details
  5. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  6. Should be energetic and in good health condition
