Memfys Hospital Enugu is looking for an experienced Cook Manager to manage its Kitchen and cafeteria.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of HND in any field, and a Chef or Cook certificate from accredited institutions
  • Minimum of three (3) years cooking experience in a professional, fast-paced, and high-volume kitchen operations
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a managerial position with a minimum of five (5) subordinates
  • Flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts
  • Ability to understand, update and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and other logs as appropriate
  • High personal and kitchen grooming and hygiene standards
  • Effective communication, leadership and interrelationship skills
Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Planning and implementation of menus and other food restaurant protocols
  • Prepare hot and cold meals according to established recipes and approved menus
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records in order to accurately plan production requirements, and requisition supplies and equipment.
  • Organize all food prep stations to ensure smooth and efficient flow in the kitchen.
  • Ensure deliveries are stored in their proper place and in a timely manner
  • Adhere to established cleaning schedules as assigned
  • Oversee the activities of other Cooks and Assistants in the unit and ensure that established protocols are adhered to at all times.
