Rotary District 9142 collaborated with Memfys Hospital for Neurosurgery (MHN) to offer medical support, enlightenment and succour to the residents of Iva-valley community in Enugu. The Rotary District extended her charitable responsibility through a medical outreach that had MHN provide some of her well trained medical doctors that attended to the residents who turned out to the venue. Rotary District 9142 distributed gift items including drugs to attendees. Most of the beneficiaries were nursing mothers, children, the aged and youths.
The outreached lasted for two days- 21th and 22nd September, 2017 and saw a turnout of over 300 residents. MHN’s participation was under the banner of SHHEPPAD, her regular outreach programme to less privileged persons and communities.
SHHEPPAD stands for the most common diseases and disorders that affect the human nerves/brain. Some of these disorders can be prevented while others if discovered early may be treatable.
