Memfys Hospital received a prestigious award from Nigeria’s National Productivity Centre. The National Productivity Centre is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment. The award was for “Nigeria Private Sector Leadership and Productivity”. Memfys Hospital was nominated for the award on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health of Enugu State and was one of two hospitals in the state that received the award. The award was presented in Abuja at the Nigeria Private Sector Leadership and Productivity Summit held on 26 and 27 November 2020 at the Nigeria Army Resource Centre, Abuja. The summit was a special Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary edition.
Two representatives of Memfys attended the summit. One of the Directors of Memfys Mr Emeka Ohaegbulam and a Senior Consultant and Head of Neurosurgical Training Dr Okwunodulu Okwuoma received the award on behalf of the CEO and Founder of Memfys Professor Samuel Ohaegbulam. The summit showcased and celebrated the roles private sector institutions and private officials have been playing in enabling and facilitating growth in total factor productivity and national Gross Domestic Product in Nigeria.
